Scorps Water Polo

We Build The Next Generation of Water Polo Players

Our goal is to increase the amount of water polo players in central California. Through our club's work, we are hoping to develop future high school and college level players who will make a positive impact on their community. We also know that water polo is one of the best sports for general physical development and we strongly encourage every parent to allow their child to experience the benefits of this amazing sport. Our youth development head coach Micha Pavlovic is not only concerned with the athletes' physical development but he also puts heavy emphasis on character growth. His mission is to equip the younger generations with necessary tools that will allow them to become confident and productive members of the society.

Our youth programs include Splashball, our introductory group; 10U coed which is our youngest competitive group; and 12U girls and 12U boys.  A brief description of the groups is provided below.

Splashball

Fall Season Dates:  September 9 - October 15, 2025

Practice Schedule: Tuesdays and Wednesdays at WAMS from 6:15-7:15 PM

Cost: $100 plus the mandatory $25 USWP Splashball Membership

Splashball is designed to bridge the gap between learn-to-swim and the sport of water polo for children 6-10 years old. The intent is to provide basic skills and understanding of the sport in a recreational format. Athletes should be able to swim 25 yards (1 lap) without stopping and tread water for short periods of time. If your athlete cannot meet these requirements, they should be referred to a swim school for lessons before joining the splashball program.
